Hello!
I am so glad you are stopping by!
My name is Jennifer Skaw (pronounced Skow).
I am a mom (four kids, ages 17-25), and a wife (married 24 years) and I am an advocate for God’s Word and its power to change lives!
I have loved music and singing for as long as I can remember and have been in the music business for almost 30 years. However, it is not my love for music that gives me a passion to sing and write. It is actually through a life of much affliction that the Lord has given me a song and a message to share.
In 2013, after a lifelong battle with depression, I was diagnosed with Bipolar Type II. I reveal this private difficulty because God has used this hardship to show me how powerful His Word is to bring peace and freedom. Although my writing is not about bipolar or mental illness, you will find that these subjects will be interwoven throughout the lifetime of this blog.
God’s Word has become my every answer. I believe the Bible is the most powerful tool to getting us to the finish line and hearing the Savior say, “Well done!”
Living the Bible is what I write and sing about…I write about what it looks like to apply Scripture to everyday life and what it looks like to renew our wayward mind with His transforming Truth.
I pray as you listen to my music and read my blog, you will be refreshed, even inspired to keep looking to the Savior as the answer to every need.
I pray you will be encouraged with renewed hope that the abundant life God has promised is real and attainable, regardless of your circumstances.
I hope you will feel you have a cheerleader as together we strive to live fully, redeem the time, and keep our eyes always looking toward the Savior!
For in him we live, and move, and have our being.
